Been sick with a cold the past few days & watching Hitchcock movies. Yesterday, North by Northwest, today, Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

this photo is one of four taken for tom ford’s latest eyewear campaign and while it isn’t exactly safe-for-work, i am kind of obsessed with it. my apologies to everyone with an aversion to tan lines and/or ridiculously pretty people.

speaking of tan lines, i went tanning because i was so pale that my olive skin tone started to look flourescent in photos and (shock of the century) i burned. when i say burned, i mean that i’m crispy. like, medicated balm was needed. what i’m saying is, don’t tan in february. it won’t end well for anyone.

Last night I was invited to FIDM Oscar Costume Exhibit Opening Gala, it was amazing to see so many costumes up close! The intricate work from Nine to Where the Wild Things Are was incredible! Took these photos with my janky iPhone, so they’re not as clear as I wanted them to be. But seriously if you’re in the Los Angeles area please go check it out.

Put up some new curtains in the apartment & added some twinkle lights (the non cheesy kind). And yes that is my swiffer in the corner, today I’ve been cleaning :)

Now about to get ready for the Oscar Costume Exhibit Opening Gala tonight downtown. Will try to take lots of pictures :)

Zadi and Steve’s Infinite Playlist

We just moved into our new place and have two large boxes of music CDs that have been stored away for over ten years. We’re digitizing it all and uploading a favorite from each CD. We don’t know what we’ll find, but it’ll be interesting going down music memory lane. Some of it will be amazing, some of it will make us cringe, but all of it will be entertaining.

This is my new favorite Tumblr account. And I’m including mine in that assertion.

This would be my cousin the famous Los Angeles burlesque dancer La Cholita. She performed last night at M Bar in Hollywood.

I’m not just saying this because she’s familia but, she’s the best burlesque dancer ever :)

Almost finished with another Dorothy Parker biography (good thing she’s dead cause I would totally stalk her). Wondering which I should read next, Jack Kerouac’s The Dharma Bums or Roberto Bolaño’s The Savage Detectives. Advice?
